COVID-19 claims 10 more lives in Bangladesh in 24 hours

BANGLADESH reports 390 positive COVID-19 cases and 10 more deaths in a day.

The total death toll stands at 120 and the number of infections are at 3,772, said Directorate General of Health Services additional director general Nasima Sultana

The country confirmed the first coronavirus on March 8 and the first death was reported on March 18.

So far, 92 people recovered from their infections, including five in the past 24 hours, reported New Age Bangladesh daily.

Among the new deaths, seven are from the capital city of Dhaka and one each in Narayanganj, Tangail and Mymensingh.

Currently, 900 suspected patients were in isolation, Nasima said.

The COVID-19 infections already spread to 55 districts, with the capital being the hard hit, followed by Narayanganj, Gazirpur, Kishoreganj and Narsingdi.
