The third ODI match of the tri-series between Bangladesh and hosts Ireland was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to rain.

The match was supposed to be played on Thursday at Malahide Cricket Club Ground in Dublin, Ireland.

The umpires decided to call off the game as the initial drizzles changed to continuous heavy rainfall.

The hosts will now take on West Indies in the next game of the series on Saturday. The Carribean team on Sunday shattered the record for the highest first-wicket partnership in a one-day international with a stand of 365 and thrashed Ireland by 196 runs in the series’ opening match.

Bangladesh enjoyed an ultimately convincing eight-wicket win over the West Indies in their tri-nations opener on Tuesday.
