THERE is just a day to go before the best in Pakistani football talent take on one of the oldest clubs in England.
Pakistan International XI will face Woking FC on Sunday (1) in a showcase match which has been arranged by Touchsky Sports and Shahid Azeem, chairman of the Blue Square Bet South side.
The Pakistan International XI side is made up of international footballers as well as up-coming talent who will have a platform to showcase their skills.
The likes of Adnan Ahmed, Atif Bashir, Amjad Iqbal, Shabir Khan and Kashif Siddiqi have all represented the Pakistan national side.
They will be joined by the likes of Shani Qayum, Steve Collins, Atif Afzal and Azeem "Azza" Anwar, who has taken part in a number of Nike football competitions and was part of semi-pro outfit London Tigers last season.
Danish brothers Yousuf and Yaqoob Butt will also be shoring up the squad as well as a few up-coming players who are hoping to perform against Woking, one of the oldest teams in England.
The game is part of a bigger initiative to provide a platform to players of Pakistani origin  (in this intance) offering the chance to showcase their talent and prove they have something to offer to  mainstream football. TouchSky Sports (London) is a global sports management company with FIFA, UEFA and FA accreditation. They work with professional players around the world and have played an instrumental role in crafting career road maps for players in Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Japan and United Kingdom. 
The players underwent their first training session under the watchful eye of UEFA B licensed coach Rehan Mirza. The squad also offered Juma prayers at the Shah Jehan mosque in Woking, which was the first mosque built in Britain back in 1889.
The team will be having further training sessions on Saturday as well as meeting the community at Woking's Kingfield Stadium.
A number of celebrities and high profile individuals will be in attendance at the match, which will be shown live in Asia and the middle east.

Pakistan International XI v Woking FC will take place at Kingfield Stadium at 5pm on August 1.
Tickets are priced at just £8 for adults, £4 for concessions with all under 12s free. Tickets can be bought in advance from Woking FC on 01483 901 515 or on the door.
